Journalist Jacque Reid has more than fifteen years of broadcasting expertise in news, lifestyle and entertainment reporting and hosting. She has interviewed some of the most influential people of our generation including Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, and Hollywood A-listers Will Smith and James Cameron.
Currently, Jacque can be seen daily as a co-host on NBC 4 New York's much celebrated, celebrity and lifestyle show, “New York Live”. The show features the best food and fashion in the city in addition to top celebrity guests, such as director James Cameron, Madonna, Celo Green and Taraji P. Henson.
Jacque is also a regular part of the nationally syndicated and hugely popular radio program, The Tom Joyner Morning Show. Jacque reports on women and women's issues on her “Inside Her Story” segments. She is a frequent guest co-host on ABC’s “The View”, a contributor for Anderson Cooper's new daytime talk show, “Anderson” and has appeared on “Nightline”, “Larry King Live”, “The Joy Behar Show” and “Wendy Williams”. She also serves as a regular anchor and host for the TV One network, in the past providing coverage of Michael Jackson's death, President Barack Obama's road to the White House, as well as the history making election of President Obama and his inauguration.
Jacque believes in giving back, and is doing just that with her non-profit, The Reid Group. The Reid Group gives 10 Clark Atlanta University journalism students the opportunity to spend the summer in New York City, working in select news internships and learning in workshops conducted by the nation's top journalists.
Jacque devotes her free time to speaking at universities and youth events across the country. Jacque is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, and the New York Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Jacque has served on various boards, including Talbot's Scholarship Board, which provides funding to young women attending college and Uplift Jamaica, a non-profit organization which provides medical coverage and technology to Jamaican residents in need.
Raised in Atlanta, Jacque honed her craft at Clark Atlanta University, where she received her BA in Print Journalism and further sharpened her skills at Northwestern University, receiving her MA in Broadcast Journalism. Jacque's work speaks for itself and it's obvious that she is truly a force to be reckoned with whether on or off-camera.
