Jonny Moseley, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, was hooked on skiing from a young age. At the age of 5 he competed in his first ski race, beating his two older brothers and taking first place. At the age of 15, Moseley won his first Junior National title in Freestyle skiing and launched his amateur career with a sponsorship from Rossignol skis. By the time Moseley graduated high school, he was a member of the US Ski Team.

Moseley fell just short of qualifying for the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway when he broke his ski poles around a tree during his trial. He returned to college at UC Davis where he hired a physical trainer and trained for the 1998 Olympics reciting the mantra, "I don't just want to go...I want to win."

After a breakthrough summer, Moseley won the first two World Cup events of the year, securing a spot on the US Olympic team. He captured the gold medal at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan with his signature "360 Mute Grab." His performance at Nagano earned him the prestigious Sportsman of the Year Award, given by the US Olympic Committee. Moseley returned to the World Cup to win the last two events and secure the 1998 World Cup Mogul Skiing title with nine wins in the season. Moseley went on to win the US National Title as well.

The next year, Moseley challenged the International Skiing Federation and US Ski Team to open up their policy regarding allowing their athletes to compete in professional events by entering ESPN's X-Games and taking 2nd place with his newly developed trick "The Dinner Roll."

In 2000, Moseley became the U.S. Open Champion in Slopestyle in Vail, Colorado. He also competed and won in the second annual Jonny Moseley Invitational, at his home mountain in Squaw Valley. In 2001, he took second place at Sunday River, Maine, the World Cup Olympic qualifier to regain his spot on the US Ski Team. The next year, Moseley won the World Cup in France to secure his spot on the US Olympic Team. During the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games, Moseley again wowed the crowd with his signature dinner roll, but the judges stumped the spectators with his 4th place result.

Throughout his career, Moseley has also proven himself as a true businessman. Moseley trademarked the Jonny Moseley SKI Logo and co-branded and developed a new line of snow skis with Head Sports International. Mosley conceptualized and forged relationships with IMG and NBC to create Jonny Moseley Invitational, a new style event featuring the world's best skiers competing in Big Air/Slope Style and Skiercross. Additionally, Moseley developed his own website, where he sells products with the Jonny Moseley logo.

Moseley has appeared on the cover of several magazines including Outside Magazine, Freeskier Magazine, Men's Journal and Freeze Magazine. Additionally, in 1998 he was pictured in Rolling Stone's Hall of Fame and in 2002 named as one of People Magazine's "Fifty Most Eligible Bachelors." He has also been the star of his own video game, Johnny Moseley Mad Trix and appeared on both Kelloggs Raisin Bran and Honey Crunch Corn Flakes boxes.

Moseley has also been the host of various television and radio programs. Recently Johnny has hosted MTV's Real World/Road Rules Battle of the Sexes and the Gauntlet series. Additionally, he has co-hosted Radio Alice's The Sarah and Vinnie Show, San Francisco's #1 morning radio show. In 2008 Moseley was the narrator for Warren Miller's ski film, Children of Winter and in September 2009, Moseley was a guest judge on Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen. He has been hosting The Moseley Method, a weekly radio program which airs on Faction Channel 28, Sirius Satellite Radio on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. EST, since 2005.
