Lonneke Engel has been working as a top model for over 16 years and is one of the most recognizable faces of mega-brand Ralph Lauren. Other campaigns and clients include Guess?, Covergirl, Kate Spade, Elizabeth Arden, Avon, Bobbi Brown, and Chanel. In 2011 she was on the cover of Sports Illustrated South Africa, which, like the American issue, is a huge accomplishment in the modeling industry.
Lonneke was discovered at age 13 by famed photographer Bruce Weber. She was born in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, a place she still returns to frequently and which is known for art and design.
Being interested in eating organically and living a healthy & happy life, Lonneke studied nutrition and became a Certified Healthy Counselor. She has since started an online platform called Organice Your Life®, which aims to inspire healthy and green living.
Lonneke has been guest editor of The Daily, a magazine that comes out during New York Fashion Week. She was also a regular contributor to chicreport.com, providing readers simple tips on nutrition.
Lonneke is currently ambassador of the international “Green Fashion Competition” which aims to find eco-designers of the future. The competition is organized by Amsterdam International Fashion Week together with the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture and Innovation.
Lonneke supports many charities including ASPCA and Brooke Hospital, an organization that helps work horses in underprivileged regions throughout the world.
