Former NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player and NBA Player, Miles Simon is currently employed by ESPN as a college basketball analyst. In the off season, Simon works with Nike both nationally and internationally coaching at various camps including the Lebron James Skills Academy and the Jordan Brand Classic.
Prior to broadcasting, Simon was an Assistant Coach at the University of Arizona from 2005-2008 under Hall of Fame Head Coach Lute Olson.
Before joining the Arizona coaching staff, Simon was the 42nd pick in the 1998 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic. Simon spent the next six seasons playing professionally in the NBA, CBA and Europe. During this time Simon received awards such as Italian League MVP (2001) and CBA MVP, Newcomer of the Year and Playoff MVP (2002).
Before turning professional, Simon spent four years (1994 — 1998) as a member of the Arizona Wildcats basketball program. Simon helped lead the 1997 Arizona Wildcats to their only National Championship where he was named Most Outstanding Player. Following the 1997-1998 season, Simon was named a Consensus All-American including being named a John R. Wooden Award First Team All-American. To honor Simon’s collegiate success, the University of Arizona and the Pac-10 inducted him into their respective Halls of Fame in 2005 and 2008.
A native Southern Californian, Simon attended Mater Dei High School where he honed his basketball skills under High School coaching legend Gary McKnight. He now lives in Orange County, CA with his wife Kristy and daughters Kiana and Sasha.
