As the second season winner of the CW hit reality series, America’s Next Top Model, Yoanna House has developed a promising career as a broadcasting host. Yoanna most recently appeared as a field and studio correspondent for The Tyra Show, covering inspiring stories, specifically for women and teens. Yoanna also recently served as a fashion correspondent for the NBC local media channel, LX.TV New York, covering established and fledgling New York City fashion designers. In addition, she worked as a host/interviewer for SONY corporation during New York Fashion Week in 2009, introducing attendees to an updated version of the SONY Vaio personal computer.
Yoanna’s broadcasting career began when she hosted the Style Network program, The Look For Less. Her energy, charisma and interaction with each guest on the program helped develop the show into one of the most popular programs on the network. She also appeared as a reporter and host on several specials for E! Entertainment, including E!’s fashion week special where she interviewed celebrities and designers.
Yoanna’s hosting talents expand beyond fashion. In 2008, she hosted the N Network reality program, Queen Bees. She also appeared as a frequent host on the digital entertainment channel, Celeb TV based out of Chicago, and worked as a digital entertainment correspondent and spokesperson for the CW network, promoting their primetime programming while interviewing CW celebrities. Yoanna was discovered on CW’s (formerly UPN) hit reality series, America’s Next Top Model. After her win and many weeks of nationwide exposure, Yoanna became a household name. Her success story was one of true dedication, perseverance, and commitment to realizing one’s dreams.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Yoanna has always had a huge interest in fashion. As a child, she would watch CNN’s Style with Elsa Klensch with her grandmother and put on fashion shows for her cousins. She also enjoys working with children and has had several opportunities to work with children’s charities, including Children’s Day Artrageous and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Yoanna, whose mother is Mexican, is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational Japanese. In fact, she attended the University of Florida, studying International Relations and Asian Studies. She was once featured as one of Latina magazine’s “It Girls,” which gave her a chance to celebrate her Mexican heritage. In her free time, Yoanna enjoys reading, cooking and pilates – but most of all, she loves spending quality time with her family. Yoanna is married, has a son and currently resides in New Jersey.
